Almost Legal.

Green Truck. The very first time I crossed the border from Mexico  into the US, was in December 21 1977, this was not ordinary for me.  I had never been in Juarez, so  when I saw the crossing point at the " Puente Stanta Fe"   I thought, maybe I will be invisible.   I started to walk into the US from the right side, when I went over the hump , I started to panic,  I saw a way to move towards the left side, there was a lonely one person  caseta,   so as I walked toward that check point I begin to create in my mind all  the scenarios that could come up, like where was I going?  Or if I was a US citizen, lying doesnt come easy for me, so I thought "I'll tell the truth"  so all they willl do is turn me around and show me the way out.   As I approach the  "casetita"  I noticed that it was empty,  I looked to the right and all the officers were busy checking vehicles,  I simply kept on walking.   It was late, like passed 6 o'clock.   The sun had d

Lo medios de Comunicacion... Cambiaran?

El poder de la palabra escrita, ha ido disminuyendo, primero se convirtio en periodicos, despues en revistas que cumplian un deber social. Las de nota roja, llevaban los ultimos reportes en crimenes. Not all of them are landscapers, painters or otherwise, some are engineers, architects, teachers, doctors, etc. The problem is, there are only landscaping jobs for the undocumented migrant. It does not matter that in Spanish they are the most educated, and they also are the leaders that could make a difference in the world. Sure, if you say "why don't they try to better the country they come from..?" you are probably right asking this question. Unfortunately, for many immigrants from Mexico that was not the choice they had back there and back then. Let me expound on that. After the 50's the US send missionaries to Mexico. These missionaries established, sunday schools and churches and started to teach biblical lessons. These lessons were not the traditional theology that the mexicans knew, via the catholic church. These lessons were a different interpretation, by different theologians, Martin L
